Biography:
I was born in Kununurra and raised in Roebourne and Halls Creek. I started living in Kununurra in my mid teens and have been here ever since. I did some work experience at TAFE before starting at Waringarri Arts.
Working at the art centre is my first real job. I work here because of my grandparents and because the rest of my family are close by. It’s a good job. I learn from all the artists and I learn different skills to make things and how to use equipment. My role is preparing materials and canvases for the artists and supporting senior artists. I have also been involved in supporting public art commissions and have learned skills in mould making, wood carving and casting as well as a little bit to do with art conservation.
