We are delighted to see celebrated Torres Strait Islander artist Brian Robinson receiving national attention for his major exhibition Multiverse at Newcastle Art Gallery.
Spanning more than a decade of practice, Multiverse showcases Robinson’s richly detailed visual worlds, where Torres Strait Islander cultural knowledge intersects with mythology, history, science fiction, pop culture and contemporary storytelling. The exhibition features monumental prints, sculptures and immersive installations, highlighting the scale, imagination and technical mastery that have made Robinson one of Australia’s most distinctive contemporary artists.
As a gallery proud to represent Brian’s work, we congratulate him on this significant exhibition, which is being celebrated as the largest survey of his practice to date and a major highlight of Newcastle Art Gallery’s 2026 exhibition program.
