 Mossenson Galleries proudly presents two solo exhibitions, one by the highly acclaimed, multiple award winning artist Brian Robinson and the other by well known popular artist Matthew Clarke.

Robinson has created his first exhibition of paintings on paper for PAPER. at Sydney Contemporary.

Tropical North Queensland provides an abundance of creative stimuli for Robinson to draw on its wonders. Tucked away in this most northerly region of eastern Australia is a rich mix of reef and rain forest that influences works such as Tropical efflorescence: Hibiscus and Tropical efflorescence: Heliconia psittacorum. The incessant patterning contained in these and other paintings on paper, engulf the negative space and runs off the edge of the artwork. At a glance, they appear with a quality that would go on forever and fill all the spaces of the world.

 In addition Robinson will launch his latest large print Terraqueous:On Stranger Tides which depicts a collection of natural environments  from the land, the sea and the sky.

Matthew Clarke presents an exhibition of new works on paper and prints created during his recent Bundanon Residency. Recent inclusion in the National Works on Paper, Darling Portrait, Wynne  and Lester Prizes are testament to Matthew’s talent and broad appeal to the discerning audience
